Saturday DIY

I've FINALLY found some time to do some things around the house, cleaning, laundry, organizing, catching up on missed school work and DIY!!

I found THE cutest and easiest tutorial online the other day and I couldn't wait to try it out! This tutorial from Kelly Hicks is sooo cute! I made one tonight and I can't wait to make some for all the girls in my family!

I decided to make a night of it, so I put on a fire, the devil wears Prada (the ultimate girls movie) and got started!

Busy Busy Busy BusyBusy Busy Busy

Seems like I only ever have time to post on thursdays, but in my defence I just recently finished two essays and a lab all due yesterday, with only a week to start them since the week before I had a midterm, group project and another lab...that time everything was due only a week apart.

Now that I can finally breathe i'm making 2 promises

1 -Start things earlier...like way earlier

2 -Find time to update this blog a little more

Leopard: Tacky or Tasteful?

I've got friends with quite a wide range of styles but the one major thing we all manage to disagree upon is leopard. Some of my friends rock the leopard mini-dress or high heels and manage to not look like they've just stepped out of the Jersey Shore while other people I see around...we'll just leave it at less is definitely more in their case.

I've never been daring enough to rock the leopard myself but I've been seing it pop up more and more lately, in some softer not so in your face styles, such as the sweater below which I've been coveting.

Newest Addition

I'm so happy to announce that this christmas we will be adding a new member to our family!

Only 5 days old and hasn't even opened her eyes, tiny little wee thing

Her name's Sophie and she's an English Bulldog! My step mom fell in love with another one from a different litter but sadly before we could convince my dad she was sold to someone else. When they went to Montreal yesterday they just happened to call the breeder in town and she said she had a BRAND NEW litter they could come see. As you would have it my dad fell in love BEFORE even seeing the puppies. He saw the proud papa and was sold.

So that was all it took and wee little sophie joins our family of circus animals....

Starting Off

I've debated starting a blog for a long time for many reasons and I've only ever hesitated because it seems to time consuming but hey I spend far too much time watching TV anyways so what the heck.
Starting off last night was the first halloween party of the year. I decided to go as a 'Party Animal'
re-using part of my 'Bad News Bears' costume from last year.

This year was more low-key but much needed after an 8 hour shift, im surprised I was even able to walk after being on my feet all day but nevertheless I managed to make it out.

Overall it was a great night with great people and great costumes. I love seeing how creative everyone gets and more so how AMAZING home made costumes can be!
